Original Paintings by artist Ron Moody

Ron Moody apart from his training many years ago as an engineering draughtsman, has had no formal art tuition. He was always interested in visual art but didn’t start painting until 1995. When Ron Moody took early retirement four years later, he was able to devote more time to his “hobby” which has now developed to the point where he is able to sell his work to an ever-growing appreciative public.

Ron Moody has developed a distinctive style all of his own that has proved immensely popular over the past few years. He has had a number of exhibitions in the South of England which have all received considerable acclaim.

Ron Moody’s art is not intended to be serious – he uses primary colours to create paintings in a quirky “tongue in cheek” style. His subjects are varied but his own preference is for painting architecture – townscapes, harbours and nautical scenes – mainly in his favourite medium of pen and wash. He is currently developing a more abstract style of work using acrylics and mixed media.
